Exit Planning
Exit planning: preparing for the sale years before it happens.
The sale of a business is usually the largest financial event of an owner's life, and the outcome is mostly decided long before the buyer appears. Exit planning is that preparation: understanding what the business is worth and why, arranging its ownership and structure so a sale is tax-efficient, building the owner's own finances so they don't depend on a single closing date, and thinking through what life and income look like on the other side. We are not business brokers or investment bankers, and we don't run the transaction; we plan alongside the people who do — your CPA, your attorney, and, when the time comes, your advisor on the deal — so that when the day arrives, the family is ready for it.
